گھر

ٹوٹے ہوئے دل کا رونا رو رہے تھے ہم
دل ٹوٹ گیا ، کسی کا گھر ٹوٹا ہوا دیکھ کر

رموز محبت

اس نے گلہ کیا کہ دل توڑا  ہے ہمارا تم نے
ہم ہنس دئیے، کچھ کہہ نہ سکے ، فقط اتنا

کہ، تماشا تو تم نے بنایا ہماری محبت کا
اعلان کیا جو تم نے، ہم سے اپنی عداوت کا

گر محبت ہوتی ہم سے تو یوں عشق نہ لڑاتی پھرتیں
کہ ہے محبت تو نام ان سب اصولوں سے بغاوت کا

طلبگار تھا یہ دل کبھی تری قرابت کا
پر حیف تو سمجھ نہ سکی راز کبھی اس عبادت کا

زمین پر گر کر آنسو تیری تصویر بنا دیتے ہیں
پھر کیسے کہہ سکتی ہے تو کہ ہمیں پتا نہیں رموز محبت کا   

تڑپ

بتانا چاہتے تھے تجھے  جو وہ بتا نہ سکے
کراہنا چاہتے تھے سر محفل پر آہ ، کراہ نہ سکے

اشکوں کا سبب جو بےچینی ہے دل کی وہ اس لئے ہے کیونکہ
وعدہ وفا نبھانا چاہتے تھے پر افسوس وہ نبھا نہ سکے

دل پریشان ہے بہت، دماغ بھی ناکارہ سا ہو ہی گیا
تری یاد مٹانا چاھتے تھے دل سے، پر افسوس وہ مٹا نہ سکے

LIFE

Life.... What is is?
Everyone around is busy in finding the answer to this question. But it appears that no one has been really able to find an exact answer (No answer is exact for that matter).
For some people life is an adventurous journey with exciting twists on every turn whilst for others life is nature's revenge for the deeds we don't know  we did. For some people life is an exam whilst for others life is just a name of helping others by sharing their griefs and sorrows
Well to me the last one means somewhat reasonable, as a poet has very well said;
درد دل کے واسطے پیدا کیا انسان کو
ورنہ طاعت کے لیے کچھ کم نہ تھے کروبیاں
The verses mean that the Almighty Lord Allah created human just to help his fellow human beings. Had they been merely created for worshiping him then weren't the angels and other creation enough for that.
This means that apart from worshiping Allah Almighty there is another purpose for our existence, for the life of human beings.
So what do we do when we have got a purpose, a goal?
Don't we try to accomplish our goals and fulfill our duties which we are bound to perform due to our existence, our lives.
So from my viewpoint the purpose of our lives is defined above. People may and will definitely argue but I am satisfied by the above set purpose of life i.e;
( i ) Worshiping our Almighty Lord, Allah tabarak wa ta'alah. (no escape from this duty whatever the circumstances might be)
( ii ) Helping our fellow beings, all the human beings who need our help, whether morally or financially, the former being of more significance though. ( This should not be escaped)
 

جہانزیب کی یاد میں

اک حسیں یاد کہیں یا اک پھول گلاب کا 
آیا تو اور گیا ایسے کہ گمان ہوتا ہے خواب کا

 دل ڈھونڈتا ہے اب وہ  میٹھی آواز کہ  آ جائے 
کیا تھا آغاز جس نے دوستی کے اس باب کا

رلا دیا ہم کو یوں جدا ہو کے تو نے 
کیوں ہوا کیا ہوا دل متلاشی ہے جواب کا
